Kim Ferguson

Kim Ferguson lives in Weaverville with her husband and their numerous pets. She is a National Board Certified teacher and currently teaches fifth grade at North Windy Ridge School. Prior to teaching, she spent many years as a naturalist in Pisgah National Forest. She became active with Mountin’ Hopes in 2000 when she discovered it was a perfect blend of all her passions; the outdoors, development of children, and training horses using natural horsemanship principles. Soon after her involvement, she sponsored and later adopted a Mountin’ Hopes horse named 'PeeDee'. She truly enjoys spending much of her weekends and summers volunteering at Mountin’ Hopes.
